1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Elopement Giveaway Promotion (“the Promotion”) organised by Elope in the Whitsundays (“the Organiser”).
By entering this Promotion, all participants agree to abide by these Terms. Non-compliance with any condition may result in disqualification.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to individuals who:
Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Are residents of Australia, or possess valid travel documentation to attend the elopement within Australia.
Are able to participate in either a legal marriage ceremony, commitment ceremony, or renewal of vows within Australia.
Employees, contractors, affiliates, and immediate family members of the Organiser or participating vendors are not eligible to enter.
The Organiser reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and may request proof of age, identity, and residency.
3. Prize Details
The winning couple will receive a comprehensive Elopement Experience Package, which includes:
Two nights’ accommodation for two people
Professional Celebrant Services (for a marriage, commitment ceremony, or renewal of vows)
Council permit (location determined by the Organiser, weather-dependent, within 40 km of Airlie Beach)
Professional Photography Session (high-resolution edited images)
Aerial Photography and Videography Package (drone footage and edited highlight reel)
Helicopter Flight for two (30 minutes)
Professional Hair and Make-up for one person
Sunset sail for two people
Tuk Tuk ride around Airlie Beach for two people
All components are provided in collaboration with participating professional vendors.
Each vendor operates independently and retains full responsibility for the delivery of their respective service.
4. Redemption and Conditions
The elopement, commitment ceremony, or renewal of vows must occur within 12 months from the date the winner is announced.
The winning couple must coordinate directly with the Organiser to confirm the date, time, and logistics, in alignment with all participating vendors’ availability.
The Organiser will assist with scheduling, coordination, and vendor communication, but final arrangements are subject to mutual agreement and vendor confirmation.
The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
No component of the package may be exchanged or substituted for alternative services or vendors.
Travel to and from the elopement location is the responsibility of the winning couple, unless otherwise specified.
The winning couple must be available for pre-event coordination meetings and any required documentation, such as photo consent forms, safety waivers, or legal marriage forms (if applicable).
5. Limitations and Exclusions
All prize components are subject to availability and may be affected by vendor schedules, weather conditions, or regional restrictions.
Blackout dates may apply during peak tourism seasons, public holidays, or major events.
The Organiser and vendors reserve the right to adjust or substitute services of comparable value if a listed service becomes unavailable.
The helicopter flight, aerial photography, and sunset cruise are weather-dependent. In the event of unsuitable conditions, these services may be rescheduled but no monetary compensation will be provided.
The prize does not include meals, alcohol, transport outside listed activities, extra nights of accommodation, travel insurance, or additional guests.
Any additional costs (e.g. extended photography coverage, extra edited photos, location upgrades, or special requests) are at the winner’s expense.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
The Organiser and participating vendors shall not be liable for:
Injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in or redemption of the prize.
Changes, postponements, or cancellations due to weather, emergencies, or force majeure events.
Vendor availability or delays beyond the Organiser’s control.
Winners acknowledge that certain activities, including helicopter flights and cruises, involve inherent risks, and participation is at their own discretion.
The Organiser and vendors recommend obtaining travel or event insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time without prior notice if required due to fraud, technical failure, or circumstances beyond its control.
7. Publicity and Use of Content
By entering the Promotion, participants consent to the use of their names, images, and elopement content for marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation.
The winning couple agrees that professional photos, aerial footage, and video highlights may be used by the Organiser and participating vendors across social media, websites, and marketing materials.
Winners may request reasonable approval rights before public release of images containing identifiable or sensitive personal content.
The couple must sign relevant media and photo release agreements prior to the event.
8. Privacy
Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information will be used solely for the purpose of administering the promotion and coordinating prize delivery.
Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except to vendors directly involved in fulfilling the prize.
9. General Conditions
The Organiser’s decision regarding the winner and prize allocation is final and binding.
Failure to claim or confirm arrangements within the agreed timeframe may result in prize forfeiture.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify entrants who provide false or misleading information or breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes shall be resolved in Queensland courts.
10. Acceptance
By entering the Elopement Giveaway Promotion, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
The winning couple agrees to comply with all vendor requirements, safety instructions, and reasonable requests made by the Organiser to facilitate the experience.
